The Nordic Center at the Resort at Squaw Creek provides nearly 400 acres of expertly groomed trails that meander through the pristine Squaw Valley meadow and roll over the surrounding hillsides. There are trails for beginners and first timers. There are also trails for those who are more advanced. Seventy percent of the trails are ideal for beginners, twenty percent are great for intermediate cross-country skiers and approximately ten percent of the groomed trails provide a challenge for the more advanced cross-country skier.

The Nordic Center offers group lessons each day at 10:30 am and 1:30 pm. You can make an appointment for private lessons if you want to improve your cross-country and skating skills.

If you just want to try this sport – either cross-country skiing or snowshoeing – for the first time, don't worry about the necessary equipment. The Resort offers a variety of rental equipment and even children's sleds.

All trails originate at the Resort at Squaw Creek, which is just a short, free, shuttle ride from the Squaw Valley Parking Lot. The groomed trails are open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm each day. Bring the entire family, young and old alike, and plan to enjoy a fantastic snowy meadow adventure.
