Lake Tahoe and its surrounding areas are home to numerous scenic golf courses. Whether you’re looking for a quick 9-hole game or a world-class championship course, you’ll find it here in Lake Tahoe.

Season

Most of the resorts listed here open in mid-May and close in mid-October. For those looking for a year-round course, Carson City is your best bet.

South Lake Tahoe

Bijou Municipal Golf Course
Bijou is a 9-hole regulation length public golf course with 2,002 yards, a par of 32, and a driving range.

• Location – Bijou is located in the city of South Lake Tahoe at 3464 Fairway Ave.
• Greens Fees - Green fees range from $18 to $23 depending on the season and the time of day. The course is open from late-May through mid-October.

Edgewood Tahoe
Rated by Golf Digest Magazine as one of “America’s Top Golf Courses” Edgewood boasts four tees ranging in length from 5,567 yards to the challenging 7,555 yards. Amenities include a driving range, putting green, pro shop, restaurant and bar, as well as event facilities. Rentals and lessons are available.

• Location – Often described as one of the most beautiful courses in America, Edgewood is located in the shores of south lake at 100 Lake Parkway, in Stateline Nevada.
• Greens Fees - Green fees range from $130 to $240 depending on the time of day, day of the week, and the time of year. The course is generally from mid-May to late October.

Carson City
Located approximately 30 minutes away from Lake Tahoe, Carson City’s scenic courses make a great wintertime alternative, as many of the area courses are open year-round.

Eagle Valley Golf Course
Eagle Valley boasts two 18-hole courses. The west course, perfect for the advanced low-handicap golfer is a championship links-style course. The east course has a more forgiving layout, better for beginner and intermediate golfers. Amenities include a practice facility, pro shop, restaurant and bar, and a banquet facility. The course is private; several membership options are available. Equipment rentals and lessons are available.

• Location – Eagle Valley is located at 3999 Centennial Park Drive in Carson City.
• Green Fees - Green fees range from $25 to $60 depending on the season, time of year and the course. Both courses are open year-round, weather permitting.

Silver Oak Golf Course
Silver Oak’s is an 18-hole par-71 golf course that covers 6,564 yards from the tournament tees. Amenities include a golf shop, restaurant, locker room, driving range, putting green, and practice bunker. The course boasts five sets of tees, meaning that golfers of all ages and ability levels can enjoy themselves. Rentals and lessons are available.

• Location – Located in Carson City at 3999 Centennial Park Drive, approximately 30 minutes from Lake Tahoe.

Sun Ridge Golf Club
Sun Ridge is a public 18-hole par-72 golf course that covers 6,914 yards. Amenities include a driving range, putting green and pro shop. Rentals and lessons are available.

• Location – Located in Carson City at 1000 Long Drive, approximately 30 minutes from Lake Tahoe.
• Greens Fees - Green fees range from $25 to $40 depending on the season, time of day, and your age. All rates include cart rentals. The course is open year-round.

North Lake Tahoe

Old Brockway
Old Brockway boasts a public 9-hole golf course covering more than 3,400 yards. Amenities include a pro shop, driving range, putting green, as well as a bar and restaurant. Rentals and lessons are available.

• Location – Located on Tahoe’s north shore in Kings Beach. The address is 7900 North Lake Boulevard.

Northstar-at-Tahoe
Northstar boasts a public 18-hole par-72 golf course. The course offers four tee locations with ability to play up to 6,781 yards. The first nine holes are characterized by narrow fairways that require precise shots, while the back nine is home to a links style course that allows for long power drives. Rentals and lessons are available.

• Location – Located at the Northstar-at-Tahoe mountain resort. The address is 100 Northstar Drive.

Coyote Moon Golf Course
Coyote Moon is a public 18-hole golf course. The course has four tee choices with difficulties ranging from 5,022 playable yards to 7,177 playable yards. Amenities include a driving range, putting green and pro shop. Rentals and lessons are available.

• Location – Set amongst beautiful pine trees in scenic Truckee, California at 10685 Northwoods Boulevard.
• Greens Fees - Green fees range from $95 to $145 depending on the time of day. All rates include a shared golf cart, use of the warm up station and warm up balls. The course is generally from mid-May to late October.

Incline Village Championship Golf Course
Incline Village Championship Course is a public 18-hole par-72 golf course with tee options ranging from 7,106 yards 5,208 yards. Characterized by narrow fairways and bunkered greens, this course is ideal for advanced golfers looking for a challenge. Amenities include state of the art practice facilities, pro shop, restaurant and bar. Rentals and lessons are available.

• Location – Located on Tahoe’s North Shore in Incline Village. The address is 955 Fairway Boulevard.

Incline Village Mountain Golf Course
Incline Village Mountain Golf Course is a public 18-hole par-58 golf course. Amenities include state of the art practice facilities, pro shop, restaurant and bar. Rentals and lessons are available.

Squaw Creek Golf Course
Squaw Creek boasts a public 18-hole par-71 golf course that spans 6,931 yards from the gold tees. The course is characterized by narrow fairways, meaning accuracy, rather than distance, is important here. Rentals and lessons are available.

• Location – Located on Tahoe’s north shore at the Resort at Squaw Creek. The address is 400 Squaw Creek Road in Olympic Valley.

Old Greenwood
Old Greenwood boasts a public 18-hole par-72 golf course that spans 7,518 yards from its longest tees. The course, designed by none other than the famed Jack Nicklaus, was rated among the top new public courses in the country. Rentals and lessons are available.

• Location – Located on Tahoe’s north shore in the city of Truckee. The address is 12915 Fairway Drive.
• Greens Fees - Green fees run $185 for 18-holes. The twilight rate is $100. Green fees include a use of the practice facility, practice balls and a shared golf cart. The course is generally open from mid-May to October.

Ponderosa
Ponderosa is a 9-hole, par-36 public course. The course boasts 3 sets of tee-boxes to accommodate both beginners, as well as advanced golfers. Practice facilities are available.

• Greens Fees - Green fees run $23 to $52 depending on the time of day, and the time of year. The course is generally open from mid-May to October.

East Lake Tahoe

Glenbrook Golf Course
Glenbrook is a public 9-hole private golf course. The course is a par-35 with 2,715 yards.

• Location – Located on Tahoe’s eastern shore in Glenbrook, Nevada. The address is 2070 Pray Meadow Rd.
• Greens Fees - Green fees range begin at $120. The course is not open to the public.
