Overview

Known for having some of the lightest and driest snow in the Tahoe area, Kirkwood resort boasts 2,300 acres of skiable terrain with over 2000 feet of vertical drop.

Location

Kirkwood is located approximately 35 minutes away from South Lake Tahoe. To reach the resort from town, take US 50 West to Highway 89 to Highway 88 west. The resort is on Kirkwood Meadows Drive. Shuttle service is available from a variety of locations in South Lake Tahoe, with prices beginning at $15 per person.

Season/Hours

Kirkwood is generally open from late November to mid-April. Lifts operate between 9am and 4pm daily.

Mountain Services

Kirkwood offers a variety of on mountain services including equipment rentals and demos, equipment tuning and repair, slope-side massages, retail stores, daily ski shuttles, kids clinics, lessons, and a variety of dining options.
